Juice and Smoothie Recipes to Help with Digestion
Do you ever feel like you have too much to do and too little time? How about feeling anxious and overwhelmed about your commitments and responsibilities? It happens to all of us at times, and we all know that increased levels of stress can trigger digestive problems. From a queasy stomach to all out nausea or diarrhea, digestive problems can make a stressful day even more challenging.
Fortunately, there are many things you can do to alleviate stress and heal the rumbly feeling in your belly. To wrap up July and our focus on juices and smoothies, we thought we would offer some recipes to try when you need relief from digestive distress. Both include mint, which is an amazing digestive herb. Mint activates salivary glands and promotes a good start to the digestive process. It also helps calm and soothe the digestive tract as it is ingested.
No matter how much we may hope otherwise, stress happens. Our prescription for today is to try some deep breathing, gentle yoga postures or stretches, and one of our soothing minty drinks!
