With Fall approaching, now more than ever do we need to be aware of our immune systems and continually keep them strong. Continue to eat twelve varying types of vegetables a day, organic, grass fed animal protein and/or veggie proteins, + quality fruits with low sugars i.e. blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, grapefruit, and strawberries. Limit your starch and sugar intake as well as alcohol as this can cause inflammation and imbalance your immune system. Oh yeah, make sure to get plenty of sleep and hydrate your body with quality filtered water. 🤩🙏✨
Here is a teas that I make at the clinic and at Simple Health for my patients – antiviral and immune support put into one herbal tea:
Anti-Viral Herbal Tea (loose leaf herbs) – slightly bittersweet yet so YUMMY!
- 4 parts elderberry
- 4 parts ginger
- 3 parts mint
- 2 parts tulsi
- 2 parts clove
- 1 part orange zest
- .5 part yarrow
- .25 part licorice root
Preparation: Pour 2 cups (16 oz) hot water over 1.5 TBLSP of herbs. Let herbs and water steep 10 to 15 minutes.
Sig: Drink when you are relaxed and in a peaceful state.
