Self-Doubt Can Hinder Your Goals. Build Self-Confidence Instead.

Feb 4, 2020 | Healthy Living

Each one of us struggles with self-doubt every so often.  What is self-doubt and how can it affect me?  Self-doubt is defined as the lack of confidence in oneself and one’s abilities.  A bit of self-doubt is healthy, but when you allow it to take over all your thought processes it can become damaging to your morale.  It will inhibit your goals and diminish your self-confidence.  There is nothing than we want more than to have self-confidence to accomplish all our dreams and goals.

Don’t let self-doubt stop you from acquiring the opportunities that come your way.  Here are six tips that can help you accomplish your goals and help you keep moving forward with successes in life:

  1. Trust yourself. Find what matters most to you and what works best for you.  Learn to trust your intuition and listen to your body.
  2. Believe in yourself. Know you are worthy and capable.  Don’t doubt what you have the ability to do.  Have confidence in your knowledge and abilities.  Don’t listen to what others have to say about you.  Stand strong.
  3. Nurture yourselves.
  4. Do not ask for validation. Go with your gut instinct and don’t depend on others to confirm what you are doing is correct or incorrect.
  5. Connect with others. Reach out to those that can support you and will help build your self confidence.  A strong support network is so important as you halt self-doubt and build your self-confidence.
  6. Don’t give up. This is self-explanatory.  Keep pushing until you find the formula that works for you.  There are some days that will be more challenging than others so keep your head high, your heart strong and open and keep marching forward.

You can achieve any goal with a positive outlook and attitude. Don’t let self-doubt limit you from what you set out to accomplish.  Don’t doubt yourself.  You have all the skills and inner intuition to pursue your dreams and allow them to become reality.  You can do it!  Just keep working at it.

I cannot believe we are into the first week of February and it is time to discuss heart health.  After all, “It is All About the Heart”.  Your heart is where your emotions lie and your body stays alive as your heart beats its rhythm.
