The Difference between Fasting and Detoxification

Sep 13, 2019 | Detox

Fasting does not have a set time frame for duration but it usually is a shorter time span than detoxing because during fasting there is no food being consumed, which also includes proteins, carbohydrates, complex carbohydrates or sugars. So basically during a fast you are consuming water (3 liters per day) or tea, important to remember because you don’t want to dehydrate.

During a detox you are eating healthy, organic and grass fed foods to support the body’s detoxification pathways to remove toxicity from the cells.

Through detox you are cleaning out your digestive track, clearing toxins out of your cells.  You are giving your body healthy foods, supplements and herbs to encourage your body to remove the toxicity.

When both fasting and detox are happening at the same time you are rebuilding and strengthening the immune system.
