I, commonly, get asked, “What can I do to build my immunity with COVID being so contagious right now?”

How can you drastically improve your gut health, {{contact.first_name}}? This is such a great question!!

There are several answers to this question but I like to start in the gut. You see if your gut is weakened than your immune system does not have the strength to fight off infections.

Did you know that your gut is your largest immune system?

AND if we do not feed our gut cells the nutrients they need to thrive than our immune system becomes out of balance?

The most important part of your gut is your microbiome. When I mention microbiome this is where microorganisms – bacteria, fungi, viruses and other organisms – reside in your digestive track. The microbiota helps support energy, digestion, hormone balancing and immunity. This can be affected by your genes, medications, emotions and foods you eat.

Your microbiome is a key player to healthy immunity.

I bet you are asking, “What foods do I need to eliminate or start eating more of to improve your gut microbiome?”

One of the most simplest answers is to limit processed foods, foods with high amount of sugar, and reduce saturated and trans fats.

Begin to read the labels on all foods as you grocery shop……
…….OR cook with whole foods and slowly begin to remove boxed foods that are not nutrient dense.
